EXPOPACK Guadalajara: a key gateway to the Mexican market for Spanish manufacturers
Jun 17 25
From June 10 to 12, the city of Guadalajara hosted a new edition of EXPOPACK, one of the most important packaging trade fairs in Latin America. Alternating each year between Guadalajara and Mexico City, EXPOPACK offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to connect with a wide range of potential clients from across Mexico — a vast, diverse, and dynamic market.
The 2025 edition featured a strong Spanish Pavilion, with 13 leading companies showcasing cutting-edge packaging technologies and solutions. The outcome was highly positive: new leads were identified, existing customer relationships were reinforced, and the overall level of visitors and business contacts was very satisfactory. Once again, the Spanish Pavilion lived up to expectations and made a solid impression on the fair.
Mexico continues to be a strategic market for international expansion. While entering for the first time may involve a learning curve, Spanish companies emphasize how rewarding the market becomes once you’re established. The feedback we consistently receive is that Mexico is a highly appreciative and loyal market, one that values quality and long-term relationships.
This year’s edition gathered over 700 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and attracted more than 20,000 professional visitors, consolidating its position as a key meeting point for the packaging industry across the Americas.
Some conversations at the fair reflected growing concerns about the impact of U.S. trade policy, particularly with the upcoming elections and the possibility of renewed tariff tensions under a Trump administration. However, these concerns have not translated into any direct impact for Spanish exporters — at least for now.
The positive results from EXPOPACK Guadalajara 2025 confirm the strategic value of this fair as a gateway for Spanish manufacturers looking to strengthen or expand their presence in Mexico. The next edition will take place in Mexico City, offering a renewed opportunity to engage with a different part of the country’s vibrant industrial network.
